Join climate expert Dan Tipney for an engaging session exploring the fundamentals of climate science, sustainability in pharma and healthcare, and practical ways to start meaningful conversations.

Climate change and sustainability are increasingly part of the conversation across pharma and healthcare. But do you fully understand the science behind climate change, and how confident do you feel discussing it?

In just one hour, this session will help you:

👉🏻 Understand the fundamentals of climate science, based on the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

👉🏻 Explore sustainability in the context of pharma and healthcare

👉🏻 Feel more confident engaging in climate-related conversations

👉🏻 Take away practical information to help you start those conversations

You'll also get a first look at our new climate science workshop, which uses the collaborative and visual Climate Fresk approach to bring the science to life and make a complex subject easier to understand and discuss.

This session is for anyone working in pharma or health comms who wants to better understand climate science and sustainability, build confidence talking about it, and play their part in tackling this global challenge.

Dan Tipney

Trainer & Team Development Specialist

Dan Tipney is a former airline pilot, Human Factors specialist and qualified Climate Fresk facilitator.

Dan spent years delivering Human Factors training within airlines before applying the same principles in veterinary and healthcare settings, focusing on communication, team dynamics, leadership, decision-making and the systems and cultures that support patient safety and team wellbeing.

In 2020, Dan stopped flying, driven primarily by concern over aviation’s environmental impact. This led him to explore both the science of climate change and its human dimensions – including how people engage with a topic that can feel overwhelming and the barriers to meaningful action.

Recognising the natural overlap with his Human Factors background, Dan trained as a Climate Fresk facilitator and now delivers workshops across multiple sectors. Dan is passionate about helping people understand the science of climate change and feel more confident identifying opportunities for meaningful action. Through Climate Fresk, he creates an engaging, collaborative and visual learning experience that makes a complex subject easier to understand and discuss.
